Inauguration of the Millbaach project

On the 21st of November, the official inauguration of the Millbaach project took place in Altwies, in the presence of Housing Minister Claude Meisch, Mayor Steve Reckel, and Aldermen Claude Schommer and Tessy Altmann.

Designed by STDM for the Administration of the municipality of Mondorf-les-Bains, Millbaach offers affordable and transitional housing for young people and families, while respecting the environmental constraints of the site. Set between historic villas and the banks of the River Gander, the project combines urban harmony with ecological preservation.

The four single-family homes offer generous, light-filled spaces that open onto nature, while the residential building maximises solar gain thanks to an alternating geometry and balconies that project into the landscape. The project also stands out for its sustainable design, which combines traditional materials with contemporary aesthetics, optimizing light and solar gains while respecting the environment.
