Sustainability Award for the Luxembourg Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo 2025

21/10/2025

🎖️ We are delighted to announce that the Luxembourg Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo has been awarded the 2025 Sustainability Award by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

This prestigious distinction recognizes the in-depth consideration given to circularity in construction.
Designed according to the principle of “designed for disassembly,” the pavilion is based on the use of standard construction elements, with a minimum of custom-made parts.
The majority of the components have been designed to be dismantled and reused without modification, so that they can be directly reintegrated into the building cycle, demonstrating the concrete feasibility of reversible and circular architecture.

This award recognizes an exemplary collaboration between institutions, architects, engineers, and designers, driven by a common vision: to design today the buildings of tomorrow, which are simple and reusable. 🌍
