🌟 Happy New Year from STDM ! 🌟

As we step into 2025, we want to take a moment to thank our clients, partners, and collaborators for their trust and support throughout the past year. Together, we’ve built more than just buildings – we’ve created spaces that inspire and transform.
Here’s to a new year filled with exciting projects, innovative designs, and continued growth. We look forward to shaping the future of architecture together.

Wishing you all a prosperous, creative, and successful year ahead! πŸŽ‰

πŸŽ„βœ¨ Celebrations and conviviality to round off the year! βœ¨πŸŽ„

The team celebrated the end of the year in style with a memorable evening: presenting the STDM awards, celebrating years of commitment and the year’s highlights, all in good spirits! πŸ†

The next day, we strengthened our ties during a unique team-building day at the brasserie nationale 🍻: between an introduction to brewing our own beer and a tour of the brewery, team spirit was the order of the day!

πŸŽ‰ The workshop will be closed between Christmas and New Year. We wish you all happy holidays and look forward to seeing you in 2025 for some exciting new projects!

Inauguration of the Millbaach project

On the 21st of November, the official inauguration of the Millbaach project took place in Altwies, in the presence of Housing Minister Claude Meisch, Mayor Steve Reckel, and Aldermen Claude Schommer and Tessy Altmann.

Designed by STDM for the Administration of the municipality of Mondorf-les-Bains, Millbaach offers affordable and transitional housing for young people and families, while respecting the environmental constraints of the site. Set between historic villas and the banks of the River Gander, the project combines urban harmony with ecological preservation.

The four single-family homes offer generous, light-filled spaces that open onto nature, while the residential building maximises solar gain thanks to an alternating geometry and balconies that project into the landscape. The project also stands out for its sustainable design, which combines traditional materials with contemporary aesthetics, optimizing light and solar gains while respecting the environment.

The steel structure of the Luxembourg pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka is now complete!

On site, our teams, STDM, MIKAN GUMI and Jangled Nerves, are supervising the progress of the work and ensuring coordination between the general contractor and the two specialist companies responsible for the scenography. This collaborative work is essential to realise the project’s vision and ensure that each stage is carried out to the established technical, environmental and aesthetic standards. It’s a great team effort that’s progressing apace and on schedule! πŸ‘

πŸš‰ STDM has designed the access tunnel under the new train station in Rodange, inaugurated on September 17th! More than just a passageway, this tunnel and access ramp designed by STDM and executed by BFF, will connect the neighbourhoods for pedestrians and cyclists. βœ¨πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

Urban Sketch at ApΓ©ri’tours

During the ApΓ©ri’tours organized by Ville de Luxembourg, STDM and its architects Arnaud De Meyer and Thomas Untereiner introduced the urban sketch. More than a drawing, it captures the essence of neighbourhoods by taking the time to observe and rediscover every detail.

Open to all, it’s an opportunity to bring amateurs and enthusiasts together around our urban environment.
